Free Drop Billy took the scenic route on the journey of qualifying for the Kentucky Derby. The Grade I win in the Breeders' Futurity at Keeneland got it all started. Then, as a three year old, he raced at three different tracks over three different distances and each time hit the board to add to his points total and ultimately earned a spot in the starting gate for the 2018 Kentucky Derby.
Brody's Cause won the million dollar 2016 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (Grade I) at Keeneland in Lexington, KY. The win moved him into the field for the 2016 Kentucky Derby.
He is two-time Grade I winner of Giant's Causeway that is looking to carry on his legacy as a Stallion at Spendthrift Farm.
Following the win by Not This Time in the Iroquois Stakes (GIII) at Churchill Downs, trainer Dale Romans said. “He’s spooky good and I think he’s everything I’ve always thought he was. He’s just so talented. That [slow break] wasn’t going to get him beat. Robby [Albarado] rode him well."
He is now one of the best looking young Stallions in Kentucky, standing at Taylor Made Farms.
